I also noticed they made a reading lamp that only takes their bulbs. Stick to your local walmart i hate to say. Walmart youre in and out for returns, it doesnt take an hour or more to shop for one item vs ikea walking through the whole store. And the prices and quality are better, in my opinion not worth the hassle of the drive or the wait. I will no longer be shopping at ikea.

So i buy a KALLAX shelf, i was in and out of the store in 20 minutes. When putting it into my car i notice a corner of the box had a little smoosh. I open it and look, some paint is chipped, I come in, buy a new one, in and out in 5 minutes this time.
Then come in to return the damaged one. Ive been waiting longer to return it then i have been in the store. It has roughly taken 40 minutes to return an item. To drill all this home, heres the next few pieces that seriously earn that one star which should be negative 5 stars. Not only is the staff sometimes rude but its so hard to find someone to help you in some areas.
What the hell is ikea motives here, its all about that bottom dollar im assuming. Really disappointed by IKEA, their policies, and service. So much corporate red tape when it comes to items not in stock, on a high shelf, etc. Spent over $30k there the past 2 months between kitchen and bath cabinets - oh and then counter tops. Way too many trips to get missing items or order assembled correctly. We used their $375 in home measuring service for the kitchen which was truly pitiful and full of errors.
Several times I watched them walking over boxes, dropping and tossing boxes. Cannot wait to see how we go with the counter top contractors. They clearly have been using the most inexpensive bidders they can find for measuring, and delivery for kitchen cabinets . As a bonus just about everything on the floor was last chance as well. Ikea actually would not sell to us. Then we spent over half an hour looking for an exit the signs didnt help and sent us in a loop.
